Glum pair
These joyless guys look like they wish they had not been carved. The work reminds me of that of Albert Zahn, a Wisconsin outsider artist who created angels, animals and other objects. When I first saw them I thought Pennsylvania. But the previous owner said they came from Maine. A little felt bird also is part of the grouping.

These guys are wonderful. They look so intent. Thanks for showing the close-ups.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine. Maybe they reflect maker, a stern fellow.
